Letter 8 – Love

Dear everyone who professes to be Christian,

Brothers and sisters, do you love everyone? Do you actually love and care for everyone? I understand this is a common teaching in the Bible, and we are all taught to love, but do we actually?! The Lord loved us first. He loved us so much that he sent his one and only son to die for you and I. We are commanded to love. I fully understand how it can be hard to, but we have to do it. One of the things that has inspired me to write this letter, is the negative feedback from people, who claim to be Christians. I have been cursed at by believers. I have been mocked by believers. Brothers and sisters, that is not how you are supposed to be! We are supposed to love one another! We are supposed to pray for those who persecute you! I can understand if you do not agree with something that I say, but that gives you absolutely no excuse to sin and hate on another believer. You shouldn’t hate at all if you call yourself a believer. Believers, love! Understand that God loved us first! Obey him.

Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Guess who said that. Jesus said that. Jesus tells you simply to love people who even persecute you. I challenge yall to show Christs love to a stranger.

Believers, every second the world hates us more and more. But we have to shine the light with Christ’s love! We have to show the world how true the Gospel is. We have to show them that no matter how horrible someone can be, that they can be changed through the blood of Jesus Christ. Do you know why Jesus died for you and I? Love.

A great quote from a great friend and pastor said, “God is love and love had to die for the promise of salvation to be raised from the dead.” – Jae M. Soto

Christians, rise and show Christs love.

Shalom
